The Best Dressed list at the AMA 2019

The 47th Annual American Music Awards AMA 2019 was held on November 24, 2019 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, recognising the most popular artists and albums of 2019. Each fall, the American Music Awards popularly known as the AMA celebrates the latest and greatest talents of the contemporary music scene. Here are the best dressed stars at the AMA 2019.

AMA 2019 was high on glamour. Many guests took their sartorial cues from the brightest corners of the colour wheel, with Selena Gomez in a vibrant green mini dress by Versace and Dua Lipa posing alongside boyfriend Anwar Hadid in a silk fuchsia gown by Miu Miu. Elsewhere, sparkles were scattered across the ensembles of Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, who chose an asymmetrical seaweed-coloured gown that came complete with a thigh-high slit.

Taylor Swift: The singer arrived wearing a sparkling deep green-coloured gown that featured a thigh-high slit and a central sash. Swift paired the sequin-covered dress with some more subdued black boots.

Regina King: The actor arrived in a glittering black maxi dress that featured a keyhole neck and bare shoulders. King accessorised the look with equally sparkly jewels, including two silver cocktail rings.

Selena Gomez: The singer chose a strapless lime green mini dress by Versace for the event that she paired with matching shoes.

Christina Aguilera: The ‘Genie in a bottle’ singer’s red carpet look defied proportions with its bulbous shoulder pads and oversized sleeves. Aguilera completed the look with rows of jingling necklaces and a square buckle belt.
