Oscars 2019 best-dressed celebs on the Red carpet
At this year’s Oscars, stars like Gemma Chan, Angela Bassett, and Linda Cardellini have been praised for their pink, poofy gowns, while Best Actress nominees Glenn Close and Melissa McCarthy have perfected the art of the elegant cape. These, along with other trends, from gender-bending fashion to ’70s glam rock–inspired looks, have dominated the red carpet. Here is a list of the best dressed at Oscars 2018
- Lady Gaga turned heads in a custom striking strapless gown by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton, teamed with edgy leather gloves in black. For her shoes, they worked with Giuseppe Zanotti to customize a pair of black booties, and the footwear gave her a serious boost—the stiletto measured seven inches tall. For the final touch of bling, Gag wore Tiffany & Co yellow diamond stone totals 128.54 carats and is said to be priceless.
- Charlize Theron looked gorgeous in blue long-sleeve Dior Couture gown with a mock-neck and layers of Bulgari necklaces. But if you think the front of this showstopping look is everything, just wait until you see the unexpected open back, complete with a dramatic trail.
- Brie Larson always nails her red carpet looks, and she was at it again at the Oscars in a shimmering silver dress by Hedi Slimane. For her red carpet looks, Brie rocked a metallic strapless gown, which featured a halter neckline. She completed her look with her hair swept to the side in loose curls and all-in-all, she looked beyond incredible! The dress also featured a thigh-high leg slit, allowing Brie to show some skin — and she looked SUPER fierce!
- Emma Stone arrived at the Oscars and once again proven that she can do no wrong when it comes to awards show fashion. On the 2019 red carpet, Emma took a risk with a daring, sharp-shoulder Louis Vuitton outfit, featuring lots and lots of copper sequins. The Best Actress nominee paired her structured gown with dainty earrings and a sleek low bun. The result? A totally chic and unique look.
